2 Players Who Are Likely To Leave Tottenham At The End Of The Season

These 2 Players Might Surely Leave Tottenham In The Summer

Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur side have gone about their business quietly in the Premier League this season as their exit from the European competitions seems to have given them a chance to concentrate on the Premier League. They are currently the club closest to Chelsea at the top of the table and though they have little chance of catching them, they have a good chance of qualifying for the Champions League next season and Pochettino would already be planning for life next season. The Argentine has been looking at some star players to add to his squad in the summer and this might see him let a few players leave the club at the end of the season. The squad at the club is quite settled and there are not too many players who Pochettino would want to get rid of but here are two players who could surely be heading towards the exit door at the White Hart Lane this summer.

Moussa Sissoko:

The deadline day summer signing for Tottenham Hotspur, Sissoko has hardly had an impact on the club this season. His performances, even after getting enough chances in the first team, have been so disappointing that Pochettino might be considering selling him after just a season. Normally, a player is given at least a couple of seasons before being kicked out for lack of performances but Sissoko’s experience in the Premier League with Newcastle United is what makes his form at White Hart Lane look much worse. Spurs need some star players who can help them compete in Europe and Sissoko is nowhere close to being the player. Tottenham should cut their losses and let him leave. Italian outfit AC Milan are interested in his signature but come summer, there will be a few more clubs who will want him. Surely, Sissoko might not be playing in London come the start of the next season.

Ben Davies:

Though he is more than a decent option at left-back, Ben Davies has seen more action than his manager would have wanted him to, with first choice left-back Danny Rose missing a fair number of games this season through injury. At just 23, he had a great chance to prove himself to the manager after getting regular game time but he has not been able to impress Pochettino with his performances. His worst game came against Liverpool where Spurs lost 2-0. Sadio Mane tormented the Spurs man all night as Liverpool ran to a victory. Davies was a definite weak link for Spurs in that game. Pochettino would be looking at defensive reinforcements and though he is known to stick with youngsters of great potential, Davies’ time might just be up at White Hart Lane. The likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and Crystal Palace have all been linked with a move for him recently and Spurs should not find it hard to sell the defender this summer.
