2 ins and 1 out – 3 Transfer Deals Leicester Should Complete In Jan Window

After a shaky start to their season, Leicester City are beginning to find some rhythm under the management of Claude Puel, with two successive wins in a row against sides like Tottenham and Burnley who sit high up the Premier League table.

The arrival of Claude Puel has certainly made a positive impact on the Leicester squad and the results are quite visible, with the Foxes sitting in the top half of the table at 9th place, with 20 points in 15 games.

There is clearly a lot of room for improvement for Leicester and Claude Puel will want to bring in a couple of players and also get rid of one too. Here’s a look at players who Claude Puel should shuffle in the upcoming January transfer window.

IN

Fernandinho

Leicester City have clearly missed the presence of N’Golo Kante after leaving them to join Chelsea. The Frenchman was an anchor in midfield and was one of the key players behind Leicester’s remarkable League triumph in the 2015/16 season.

Manchester City’s Fernandinho could be one such player who could be a perfect fit in Leicester’s midfield and add the presence of mind in the team that they have been missing since the departure of Kante.

The Brazilian has had an exceptional season so far and has been one of City’s most consistent players in terms of build-up play and defending. With his contract about to expire in 2018 and with City yet to give him a new contract, the 32-year-old could well be an exciting option for the Foxes.

Jordon Ibe

Arguably, Jordon Ibe’s career has only spiralled downwards ever since he moved away from Liverpool to join Bournemouth last season. He never managed to complete 90 minutes in his first season and is struggling to make an impact under the management of Eddie Howe.

The 21-year-old showed glimpses of his potential during his time at Anfield, which prompted Bournemouth to sign him. But unfortunately for the English forward, things just haven’t worked out for him at Bournemouth.

Maybe a change of environment from the Vitality Stadium to the King Power can prove to be a change in fortunes for the youngster. Playing under Claude Puel could maybe help the former Liverpool winger to fulfill his potential.

OUT

Ahmed Musa

The Nigerian international has proven to be a massive disappointment for Leicester, with just 4 goals in 18 appearances last season. He is yet to make an appearance for the Foxes this season.

Claude Puel has made it pretty clear that Musa isn’t part of his plans and that he is unlikely to have a future at the club. With the January transfer window just around the corner, expect the Nigerian striker to find a new destination.
