2 genuine speed demons Arsenal could sign to win the Premier League, including Man United star

Arsenal are entering a new era in their history where there is no Arsene Wenger, who stepped down from his managerial post at the end of the season after 22 years in charge of the club. New Gunners boss Unai Emery has wasted no time in stamping his authority at the Emirates, with the Spaniard already completing two signings – Stephan Lichtsteiner and Bernd Leno from Juventus and Bayer Leverkusen respectively.

However, one area Arsenal should definitely strengthen this summer is their wings. Since the departures of Theo Walcott and Alexis Sanchez to Everton and Manchester United in January, the club are lacking quality wingers in their squad. So, here are two wingers Arsenal should look to sign:

Gelson Martins

The Sporting Lisbon winger is a sought-after player in Europe, following his impressive performances last season. The pacey player posses the qualities to split open any defence with his through balls and considering the explosive forward line Arsenal have at their disposal, it’s not surprising to see the north London club eyeing a move for the Portuguese.

Martins is a genuine winger with pace to burn and has the ability to stretch out defences. Playing alongside the likes of Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Mesut Ozil could unleash his true potential and the Premier League could do with some exciting talent such as him.

Moreover, he is available on a free transfer as he along with six of his team-mates terminated their contracts with Sporting CP after shockingly being attacked by fans at the club’s training ground last month.

Anthony Martial

Martial is keen to leave Manchester United as he has grown frustrated over his limited role in the squad. The Frenchman is a great talent, whose career has stalled over the last two seasons since Jose Mourinho took charge of the Red Devils. Martial, who is not a part of France’s World Cup squad, needs a fresh start to kickstart his career, and Arsenal could be the ideal destination for him.

Martial is a proven player in the Premier League, having scored 24 goals and set up 15 more in 86 appearances in the division for United. And he could develop his game under Emery at the Emirates. But Arsenal need to act fast if they want to sign Martial as Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in him.
