Schalke has stated that Julian Draxler would only be sold for a staggering £60m. It is reported that both Arsenal and Manchester United have been targeting the German player as they look to strengthen their squad. The 19-year old midfielder has already become a star player in the Bundesliga playing 78 matches at such a tender age. Last season he especially impressed with his form scoring 11 goals in all competitions and displaying an all round creativeness on the field.
Schalke sporting director Horst Heldt has stated that they would not allow the player to go cheap.
“If we were to get an offer of £60m then things could change,” he mentioned. “However (such an offer) is not expected. We want Draxler to be part of our future.”
Both the English clubs had not made signings till now and it is not hard to see why they are keen to get Draxler into their team. Arsenal had signed only Yaya Sanogo in this window, failing with bids for Higuain and Suarez. They displeasure among the fans has reached an unprecedented level and now the fans want to see a big name player joining the side as soon as possible.
Keeping this in mind, it is safe to say that the signing of Draxler would go on to make the fans extremely happy at the moment.

In other news, Arsenal player Bacary Sagna has insisted that Arsenal must beat Tottenham Hotspur in the Sunday’s derby match.
“It’s massive because it’s a derby and a must-win, especially for the fans and for the league,” Sagna stated to the club’s official website. “We know it’s already important because they won their first two games and we want to catch up. We have the opportunity to do it and I think we’re going to have a great atmosphere as well.”
The London derby is one of the most prestigious fixtures for both the teams and under no circumstances would any of the teams want to lose this match.
