19 goals, 4 assists – Bristol signing this 26-year-old hotshot would push them into the playoffs next season

Bristol City opinion: Should the Robins make a move for Kieffer Moore?

In the end, despite putting up an incredible fight, Bristol City fell just short of Derby County, with the Robins making it to the playoffs. In doing so, Bristol lost so much more than just the final game. They lost the promotion play-off and a chance at the Premier League.

They could make it next season but to do that, the club has to make a few changes. One of their biggest issues this season has been the lack of goals. Their top scorer is Famara Diedhiou with 13 goals, with Andreas Weimann coming a close second with 10 goals.

Barring that, few others have made an impact, with Josh Brownhill and Jamie Paterson scoring five goals each. However, when it comes to the strikers at the club, few have done well. Between Mo Eisa, Matty Taylor, and Antonie Semenyo, they’ve scored just four goals, with Taylor scoring all four.

Both Eisa and Semenyo have made 9 appearances contributing nothing, which is why the club need a new striker. The Nottingham Post has reported that Bristol City are interested in a move for Kieffer Moore and it’s one they should make.

A target-man by trade, the 26-year-old finished his season with 19 goals and four assists to his name but he could have had so much more.

An injury to his head saw him miss a large portion of the season, before which Moore was on a six-game scoring streak, a streak that saw him contribute to six goals, scoring five and assisting one.

Very powerful in the air and on the ground, Kieffer combines these attributes as a centre-forward and holds up the play well.

While he doesn’t create as much as he really should be, that is something which could change once he moves to the Championship.

The 26-year-old has shown the propensity to move above his mark and flourish, which is something Bristol City need to take full advantage of. Add that to Kieffer Moore’s sheer consistency in front of goal over the last few years and it makes him a great buy.

He’s averaged at least 9 goals since the dawn of his career, really hitting his stride in the last few years.

Conclusion

Kieffer Moore has the potential to do well in the Championship and his strength combined with his ability on the ball makes him a great move for Bristol City. He’s someone who will help them move further in the league and with time, it could mean a promotion playoff spot.
