Although a prime Manchester United target, Montpellier midfielder Remy Cabella has put Arsenal on high alert as £15m is all what it takes to sign him says Jean Fernandez.
Manchester United and Arsenal are on high alert after Montpellier revealed sought-after midfielder Remy Cabella can leave the club for £15million.
The 23-year-old midfielder, labelled the ‘new Zidane’, has attracted the interest of both clubs who are thought to be plotting January moves. Last month, Cabella told France Football: “What I want is to play in the Champions League again. I’m obsessed with it.”
And Montpellier manager Jean Fernandez has revealed the club would not stand in the midfielder’s way, should their valuation be reached.
“In the winter transfer window, if Manchester United offer €18m (£15m) as I have read, he must go,” he told Reuters.
“Although that would kill the team, one cannot refuse an offer like that.”
Cabella has been in sparkling form for Montpellier this season, scoring five and assisting two goals for the French side. (Mirror)
