15 goals, 3 assists – West Ham completing a move for this 27-year-old Croatian would get them a real gem in the summer

West Ham opinion: Pellegrini wants Andrej Kramaric – a good choice?

According to a report from Italian publication Calciomercato, West Ham are targeting a summer move for former Leicester City striker Andrej Kramaric. The Croatian currently plays for Bundesliga side Hoffenheim and has been in fine form this season.

West Ham’s need for a striker has been evident for some time now, ever since Marko Arnautovic’s massive dip in form.

The Austrian signed a new deal at West Ham after his transfer saga in January but Arnautovic could still be off in the summer thanks to a clause in his contract which would make him available for £45million.

Irrespective of what happens with Arnautovic in the summer, the Hammers will need a replacement for summer signing Lucas Perez, whose move from Arsenal has been a massive failure. The Spaniard has scored just two goals in the Premier League in 12 appearances.

Javier Hernandez will turn 31 in the summer. Despite having a decent season so far, West Ham cannot rely on him to be their number one if they want to make it to the Europa League spots next season.

Andrej Kramaric would be a star at the Olympic Stadium and the Hammers should not think twice about making a move for the Croatian in the summer.

The 27-year-old, after a poor spell with Leicester City, joined Hoffenheim on a permanent deal in 2017 and has been a hero at the German club. Kramaric has been one of the Bundesliga’s best players this season, having scored 15 goals and providing 3 assists in the German top-flight.

The Croatian international is a vastly experienced player, who has the ability to change the course of a game with his goals. He would be an ideal fit at a club like West Ham.

Since leaving the Premier League, Kramaric has made 124 appearances for Hoffenheim in all competitions and has a brilliant record of 56 goals and 25 assists, over the last 3 years.

A goal or an assist every 135 minutes is a phenomenal output for a forward and West Ham will have a real gem on their hands if they manage to sign him in the summer.

Kramaric is an incredibly composed finisher in front of goal and is also an extremely intelligent player on the pitch. His partnership with Felipe Anderson would be a joy to watch and the duo can help the Hammers reach new heights in the coming seasons.

Conclusion

West Ham could not go wrong with the signing of Andrej Kramaric in the summer and the Croatian would fit-in brilliantly under Manuel Pellegrini.

goals would certainly help the Hammers in their pursuit of European qualification next season and West Ham should have him as a priority in the upcoming transfer window.
