It is all but confirmed that Bacary Sagna will leave Arsenal this summer. Having had one of the best seasons for Arsenal and finally managing to keep his hands on a silverware, the French International has refused to accept the contract offer that was placed infront of him. It is said that the one year extension offered by the Gunners did not please the right back and the discussion went sore after that.
It is likely that Sagna will sign a three-year deal worth around £120,000 a week at Manchester City.
The French International was quoted by L’Equipe as he revealed his future.
“It’s not longer a secret, I will leave Arsenal for sure,” he told L’Equipe. “They [Arsenal] tried to make an effort but the discussions have not gone as I wished.”
“There is no ideal end but it was a dream to finish like that, at Wembley, with the cup,” he added.
“It was an honour to wear the shirt.”
Sagna is currently in France working with his national team for the World Cup showdown next month.
