According to the latest reports, Arsenal are about to make an improved £20m offer for Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye in next few days.
Earlier this week, Arsenal’s first bid was rejected instantly as Newcastle believed it is no way close to their valuation of the player.
Newcastle boss Alan Pardew said,
“I am not sure of exact terms, but it is below our valuation for sure”
Move seems to be half done already. Cabaye was left out from the magpies squad for both of their played games and Pardew admitted that Cabaye could leave Newcastle United before the end of the transfer window.
After a 0-0 draw against West ham, Alan Pardew again commented on the situation,
“The situation is quite simple,”
“We need to resolve the situation and get ourselves in a position where if he stays, great, and if he doesn’t stay, we can get someone equally as good in.
“That’s where it is and I don’t want to say any more than that.”
Arsenal’s 3-0 away win in Turkey also played a key role in the transfer. With one foot on Champions League already, it will be much easier for Arsenal to convince players to join them.
Arsenal want to finish this deal as soon as possible so that they can concentrate on other targets like Benzema, Lars Bender and Di Maria.
