David Beckham Wants MOTD Job After Retirement

When asked about his plans after retirement, former England captain David Beckham joked that he wants to replace Gary Lineker on his famous Match of the day show (MOTD).

In a Q&A session in Twitter, Lineker asked Beckham: “Even your football career will end some day. Post playing would you consider a punditry role on MOTD?”

Beckham’s funny reply: “Haha, if it’s your job then yes, as you always seem to be on the beach.” Beckham also revealed that his new pink boots were chosen as an homage to his one-year-old daughter.

Match of the Day (often abbreviated as MOTD or MotD) is the BBC’s main football television program. Typically, it is shown on BBC One on Saturday evenings during the English football season, showing highlights of the day’s matches in English football’s top division, the Premier League. Beckham who is currently contracted with PSG on a five month deal may retire within one or two seasons.
